This Seaking 30ft Wooden Cutter, built by Seaking boat builders in Leigh Essex in 1969/70 for Denny Desoutter the founding editor of “Practical Boat Owner”. Used by Denny and frequently featured in the magazine. She has been used along the east coast and out of Dover and Brighton with numerous passages to the continent. She is a heavy comfortable cruising boat with a very reliable and economical Sabb diesel engine. She has been painstakingly restored to its former glory

The Seaking Wooden Cutter offers 4 berths in 2 cabins. The Saloon has two single berths to port and starboard. Head is located adjacent to the forward cabin fitted with a Simpson Lawrence sea water heads, with wash basin, with hanging wet locker opposite the heads. Chart table to starboard with galley opposite equipped with stainless steel sink and drainer, gas cooker two ring with oven and grill.
Sloop rigged cutter, with aluminum mast (by Sparlight) in a tabernacle, wooden boom and bowsprit with wooden bumpkin to the stern. Stainless steel standing rigging replaced 2015.
The Seaking Wooden Cutter is powered by a 1976 Sabb twin cylinder 18hp diesel engine, raw water cooling, hand or electric start (last serviced August 2015) with forward and reverse gearbox.
2 x 12 volt batteries charging from the engine alternator.
