The ARMAGNAC was designed by Philippe Harlé, one of the most prolific sailing yacht designers of all time. As stated by his partner Alain Mortain, there are no fewer than 14,000 boats sailing today that derived from his plans, including some of the most popular Jeanneau, Gib Sea & Feeling models. Originally designed as the RORC 1/2 Ton, this model is one of the MK2 series, the popular regatta sailing yachts of the 70's & 80's.

In the year 2000 a new engine was fitted and also some sails and navigation equipment was renewed. In 2013 "L'Armagnac" was purchased by the current owner in France who was planning to do a circumnavigation. They sailed to Turkey where subsequently she had a major interior & exterior refit bringing this lovely cruiser to Blue Water standards. The works included a complete "SYCOMIN" Epoxy treatment on the hull and deck, replacement of hoses and several equipment. After extensive cruising in the Mediterranean she is now laying ashore in S. France and is delivered in turn-key condition. The owner is selling due to health problems.
