Brigante is a one ton design built for Peter Nicholson (of Camper Nicholson ) for his personal
boat, built in Gosport, England in 1974.
Designer: Camper Nicholson
This boat arrived in French Polynesia in June 2006 from The USA via Mexico, we bought her as we
were living in Moorea and wanted a boat to sail the islands during our vacations and weekends.
After 7 years we have retired and now live in the Caribbean.
We sailed each year to the Tuamotus for several weeks and this boat can go anywhere, she is self
sufficient with solar power enough to operate the watermaker and live the dream in remote areas.
The boat sails so nicely in very light winds and can be reefed down easily for stronger conditions,
the sails are custom built for this boat by renowned sailmaker Carol Hasse, she is a dream to sail.
Her construction is very solid and her rig very stiff, she has been hauled out regularly and well
