This 1978 Moody 30, "SULAC", is a well renowned sailing boat that has been competitively priced. The Moody 30 will provide any owner with plenty of very enjoyable sailing. This Moody 30 offers seven berths in two cabins. The forward cabin V berth has an infill to make into a double berth with storage above and below the berth and hatch to the deck.
Aft of the forward cabin is the heads which is a marine head with wash basin with hot and cold pressured water and shower. There are also storage cupboards.
Aft of the heads is the saloon which has settee berth to port and an L shaped settee berth to starboard as well as two pipe-cot berths and a quarter berth. There is storage above and below each berth. There is a large saloon table that will comfortable seat 7 people.
The galley which is to Port and aft of the saloon has a single sink with pressurised hot and cold water heated by a gas heater, 12V fridge, two burner gas cooker with oven and grill. Crockery and Cutlery are included in the sale price.
Opposite the galley is a large chart table with lots of storage space for books and a good array of navigation equipment.
The Moody 30 with its blue upholstery which is in good condition and its Mikuni 1.6KW diesel cabin heating system has a real cosy feel to the boat.
The cockpit is large for a yacht of this size and has good storage lockers and also easy access to the engine.
This Moody 30 has a Beta BD905 28HP diesel engine with mores controls that was fitted in 2005 by the previous owner. The engine was last serviced in March 2015 and has completed approximately 315 hours as at 10th June 2015. It will cruise at 5.5 knots and has a maximum speed of 6 knots. It has a saildrive to a 2 blade fixed prop. 25 Gallon stainless steel fuel tank. Sail-drive Gaiter was last changed in 2010.
Masthead rigged sloop with aluminium deck stepped Proctor mast and boom. Slab reefing mainsail with stack pack and furling genoa. Stainless steel standing rigging, last changed in approx. 2008 and braid on braid running rigging that was replaced in 2014. Spinnaker pole.

This Moody 30 was built by Moody’s in 1978 to a design by Angus Primrose. It has a Blue GRP hull with light grey superstructure with wheel steering. Cast iron fin keel. This Moody 30 has been owned by the current owner for the past 7 years. She was last out of the water in June 2014 when she was antifouled, saildrive serviced, and anodes changed. She was also surveyed for insurance purposes when out. Engine was serviced in March 2015.
