Built in 1979 by Dufour Yachts.
Hull and deck constructed of traditional style GRP mouldings, finished in gelcoat. Hull topsides finished in burgundy red with decks being finished in a light grey. Decks are constructed with moulded in non-slip texture and teak paneled cockpit.
Masthead rigged sloop. Aluminium mast and spars manufactured by Z-Spars, finished in silver anodising, including spinnaker pole. All standing rigging of stainless steel construction with swaged terminations. Running rigging of polyester braid on braid rope, all replaced 2012.
Slab reefing mainsail, fitted with Lazyjacks and Saturn Sails cover. Roller reefing genoa on Profurl reefing system.
Decks are designed with minimal use of obtrusive fittings, high guard wires and full length of the coachroof grabrails create a deck which is very easy to move around no matter what the sea condition. Sensibly sized anchor locker is located centrally on the foredeck with room for anchor also to free up bow roller.
Cockpit is of a good size with the side decks running up to create a deep coaming for crew protection. Cockpit sole and seating finished in teak. Large cockpit locker to port with ample storage for all required gear.
Below decks the boat is typical of French yacht design in the late 1970's. The boat has been built to be used and enjoyed by a family, its bright and friendly below. Internally the use of easy clean GRP mouldings is extensive with everything well thought out and good amounts of storage provided from bow to stern.
The forepeak provides two berths in the standard V-berth formation, with an infill to create a good sized double. Stowage is provided beneath the bunks with the flexible water tank under the forward section of the bunk.
Full width heads compartment is of a practical size for use at sea. Fitted with Jabsco sea toilet, sink and vanity unit. Compartment drains into the bilge and can double as a large hanging locker.
Saloon of traditional layout out with two settee bunks running down the port and starboard sides. Cleverly the saloon table folds up and stows against the bulkhead when not required giving the saloon the appearance of being much larger, while making access forward much easier. Bunk length is increased by use of trotter boxes at the forward end of both bunks. Storage is provided through out the saloon in a selection of shelves, locker and lined under bunk storage bins. A quarter berth on the starboard side provides an excellent 5th berth and serves well as a sea berth. The chart table sits over the quarter berth and fold out the way when not in use.
The galley is at the aft port end of the saloon. With gas cooker and grill, sink and coolbox. The galley is again constructed of an easily cleaned GRP moulding and provides great storage.
Yanmar 2GM20, 2 cylinder, freshwater cooled marine diesel engine. Mounted withing dedicated compartment below companionway. Fitted with Adverc Smart Charger system on alternator.
