Winner in her class in the 1989 Round The Island race Grock has true racing pedigree and her current owners have lavished her with care and attention for the last five years. Extremely well maintained and ready to sail, or indeed race she must be seen. Just take a look at the owners comments:
We've deep cleaned inside with the head liners removed and repaired/replace. The hull cleaned inside and all locker spaces cleaned.
The floors have been well cared for, re varnished and the bilges cleaned and dry.
The engine has been regularly serviced and an additional easy change fuel filter installed in 2014.
During the past 5 years Gock has been out of the water on 4 occasions. 3 times to spend 6 weeks in the boat yard to be Anti Fouled, polished and any essential maintenance(replace anodes etc)
On one occasion for a lift and scrub and relaunch. During the first occasion in 2012, the mast was also ‘Unstepped’ and mast head instruments and radar reflector were serviced. As were all the deck winches.
Mast and deck safety wires were also replaced in 2012
Anti Fouling and Hull Polishing has been undertaken by Bright and Clean, located in the marina and in 2012, the Cast Iron Keel was cleaned and primed.
The last period of time out of the water was between December 2014 and March 2015, when propeller was acid cleaned and a new cutlass bearing fitted, and new brushes fitted to the line cutter and anodes replaced.
A number of ongoing maintenance tasks was also completed including the seacocks being service.
This work was carried out by West Marine, located in the Marine.
There is a 4 HP Yamaha Outboard (Minimum Use and currently mounted on the Stern Retractable Transom, together with a 10ft Proline Inflatable Rib, with oars, pump and seat, which are negotiable with price
The Owners are looking to upgrade at Brighton and continue their interest in sailing, which Grock has provided their great first ownership opportunity.
