Solitude was purchased in Annapolis and moved to Sister Bay Wisconsin in 2002 where she has been sailed about 4 months out of the season on the Bay of Green Bay and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and always stored in a heated building during the off season.
She is a fine sailor and virtually all systems have been refurbished. The hull is Awlgrip flag blue. The in boom furling system and power halyard winch has eased deck work. Both head sails are on furlers though the original removable baby stay is available should one prefer a handed on stay sail. The engine has less than 600 hours and has been totally reliable.
Beginning forward is the guest cabin with a large V-berth, drawer storage under berth and a hanging locker to starboard.
Next aft to port is the head with a separate stall shower, marine toilet, vanity with sink, mirror, drawer and locker storage. Opposite to starboard are additional drawers and a hanging locker.
Amidship is the main saloon with a large U-shaped settee a hi - low table to port and a straight settee opposite to starboard with a pilotberth above. There is stowage under and above both settees.
Access to both the engine and bilge is in under cabin sole.
The U-shaped galley is to port and is equipped with a stainless steel propane stove and oven, two stainless steel sinks, refrigerator/freezer, and plenty of storage.
Stainless steel tanks hold 200 gallons of fresh water and two water heaters provide ample hot water for the galley and head. The pressure water system is backed up with fresh water foot pump in the galley and head as well.
Storage is good, with four hanging lockers, including a wet locker at the bottom of the companionway stairs.
The owners cabin is aft and has a full bulkhead at the head of both berths. A double berth is to port and single berth to starboard with a hanging locker between. There is storage under and shelving outboard of both berths.
At the base of the off centered companionway steps, tucked in to starboard is the aft facing navagation station with a chart table, seat, drawer storage, shelving and the installed electronics.
A teak and holly cabin sole run throughout and the interior joinery is hand rubbed teak in satin varnish finish. There are 3 large opening hatches with screens, 13 opening bronze ports with screens, deck prisms and 5 dorade cowl ventilators.
