New Fuel Tanks
2 New Water Tanks
Clean Engine Room
Keel-Stepped Mast & Skeg-Hung Rudder
The Endeavour 40 Center Cockpit sloop has been a very popular choice for cruisers over the years and for good reason.
Her spacious teak interior is functional both at sea and in port, is pleasing to the eye and offers plenty of storage. She has a keel-stepped mast, a skeg-hung rudder, her modified fin keel tracks well and only draws 5 feet.
Rum Queen has new fuel tanks and 2 new water tanks. This is an excellent opportunity to own a 40 foot center cockpit cruising boat at a very reasonable price.

The forward cabin has a large V-berth with teak drawers below, hanging closet with louvered door to port and private entrance to forward head.
Just aft of the forward cabin is a hanging locker with TV above. Just to starboard is a second door to forward head.
The forward head has a full size Raritan manual head, SS sink, cabinets, opening port and shower.
The salon features long, straight settees to port and starboard. Both settees double as excellent sea berths. There are cabinets and shelves above both settees with more storage below. Numerous opening ports and hatches provide excellent ventilation.
Note: The salon is even more spacious since the owners have removed the substantial teak salon dining table. They still have the table in storage and the table will go to the next owners. You can either reinstall the table or you can construct a bulkhead mounted table that is hinged on the bulkhead.. This set up makes it easy to deploy the table when needed and to store it out of the way when not in use. The existing table has plenty of teak for this project should you choose to go that route.
To starboard of the companionway is a forward-facing nav station with a comfortable seat. There are shelves for book and manual storage above and a large hanging locker behind.
The Passageway to the aft cabin houses more storage and excellent access to the engine room.
The aft cabin features an athwartship double berth with tons of storage below, hanging locker to starboard, drawers, a sitting area and access to a private head.
The aft head has a full size Raritan manual head, shower SS sink, counter and cabinets.
The owners were in the process of reworking many of the systems etc but medical problems have slowed the work very much and they have reluctantly decided to put her on the market.
The owners replaced the fuel tanks and two water tanks with marine grade aluminum tanks. This is a very big and costly project on Endeavor 40s and 42s. While these are wonderful boats, the location of and installation method used by the factory on the fuel tanks, was not well-executed on these otherwise fine vessels.
The new tank installation on Rum Queen was well-designed and they were built and installed to ABYC standards. The installation was implemented with oversight and inspection by a marine surveyor. The new tanks sit on runners out of bilge water and they are bracketed in place. This ensures the fuel tanks won’t sit in water and also facilitates easy removal in the unlikely event of future problems with the tanks.
The engine room on Rum Queen is exceptionally clean and well-organized.
The interior has been re varnished and looks great!
Redesign of the house batteries and redirection of that wiring has begun with the relocation of the bilge pumps and beefing up of the shelf that holds the water heater to also hold the two batteries... a new shelf to house the engine battery can then be built...all this is to allow easy access to both D/C and A/C wiring and breakers.
