WANDERBIRD is a Robert Perry designed performance cruiser. The Passport 40 has been one of Perry's most successful designs, and this one has been well maintained and is ready for it's next adventure. With it's sensible interior, Pullman berth layout, quality Taiwanese build and sailing characteristics described as nimble, fast and sea-kindly, it is an excellent choice for coastal cruising or blue water passage making.

WANDERBIRD is currently owned by Dawn Riley. Ms. Riley was the first American, man or woman to race in three America's Cup and two Whitbread Round The World Race Sailing teams, including winning the 1992 America's Cup.
Layout from forward to aft:
In fore peak area with overhead hatch, sink and counter to port, and with 3 lockers to port and one to starboard. There is a manual toilet with folding teak shower seat over. All the way forward is access to the chain locker.
The large cabin features a double Pullman berth (53" wide at head) to port. Large storage drawers and lockers are built under the berth. Headroom in this cabin is 6'3". Brass reading lamps above berth. Bookshelf above and outboard and bookshelf above foot of bed. There is one overhead hatch and a 12v fan.
L-shaped settee to port. To starboard there is a straight settee (loveseat). A large foldout teak dining table is over the engine compartment. There are doors for engine access. The entire top can be removed for even better access. Aft on the table and just forward of the galley is teak bottle rack. Headroom at centerline is 6' 4". The cabin is accented with brass reading lamps, a brass lamp over the table, and brass clock and barometer.
Next aft to starboard is the forward facing navigation station. The main electrical panels and navigation instrument are in easy reach. There are storage lockers under the seat, chart desk lid, and cabinet plus small shelf above the desk.
Just aft of the nav. station are two large lockers that house the full size Whirlpool washer and dryer.
U-shaped galley is located just forward of companionway steps and to port. There is more than ample storage behind louvered lockers, in dry storage bins, and numerous drawers and plenty of counter top work space. Features include:

- Three burner propane stove with oven

- One 20 lb propane tank (in topside cockpit locker)
- White Formica counter top,
- Double stainless steel sink with pullout sink faucet and sprayer
- Pull out cutting board
- Pressure H/C water (pump replaced 2009)

- 8 gal. hot water heater (engine and AC electric)
- Separate refrigerator and freezer compartments
- Headroom at galley sink 6' 1"
- Teak cabinet above sink with custom stainless steel glass door inserts (done by daughter of first owner)
- Propane BBQ grill (on stern rail and plumbed to propane tank)
Quarterberth aft to starboard
Just aft of the washer and dryer cabinets on starboard is a large quarterberth. There is storage under the berth and shelf above the berth outboard.
In addition there is a custom locker aft (for rolled up charts and fishing poles
All opening ports had seals replace approximately 4 years ago. The interior is in jeweled navy blue upholstery. There are overhead dome lights and other fans throughout.
