Limited overhang, cambered house sides and minimal freeboard decrease windage. The fine entry, specific hull shape and carefully developed keel and rudder sections work to decrease drag and enhance helm response without sacrificing the form stability inherent of semi-full keeled configurations. The designed displacement of 16,900 lbs. (including crew and half tanks) and relatively low wetted surface allows for the use of a smaller sail area. These elements coupled with the cutter rig make the use of semi-circular sections forward act to dampen
