"MARILYN K" is a 1987 Hi-Star Fly Bridge Cockpit Motor Yacht also referred to as a 55' Hi-Star Yacht Fisherman.  She is a pleasure to be aboard and is one of the cleanest and most detailed vessels on the market!  She has enjoyed many trips to the Bahamas over the years and is ready to for her new owner.  A must see!   Fly Bridge Canvas was replaced 3/16, Bottom Paint 8/16, Cutlass Bearings 8/16.

The vessel is carpeted throughout the salon and is in great condition, galley floor is faux teak and has no signs of wear, custom window shades were professionally installed and accent the interior of the vessel perfectly, there is also a windshield sunscreen and also a windshield cover, aft deck vented Sunbrella enclosure was done in 2011, there is a white sunscreen on aft cabin window, window covers on aft cabin side windows, upper helm cover, starboard door sunscreen cover, and forward cabin hatch cover.

Other notable features:   Bridge cushions done in 2014, GE Deep Freezer on bridge 2013, Follow me satellite system, Water Makers brand water maker 17.5 GPH, inverter system, Garmin GPS and Radar, Xantrex Link 2000 Inverter, Windlass and Stainless steel bow pulpit plate installed in 2012, Bruce 60lb Chrome Anchor, Princess electric stove and oven new in 2015, Ice Maker on aft deck new ice dispenser 2015, and a Kenmore refrigerator was installed in 2010 and still remains like new.

Boarding the boat from the swim platform, you’ll find a swim ladder, and behind two small doors, a swim shower and connections for shore water and telephone. Up two steps and you’re in the large cockpit.

Located in the cockpit is a cabinet with a stainless steel Magma gas grille, along with a GFI outlet and storage compartment with four drawers.  The cockpit also includes wash down hose bib, courtesy light, large lazarette that houses the water tanks, the water maker.  The cockpit compartment has more than enough room for dive equipment as well, along with hoses, spare lines, provisions, etc.

Up four steps you enter the spacious aft deck with vented sun shade enclosure and plexi-glass wing doors.  There is a wet bar located starboard of the double entry doors to the salon, which includes above cabinet storage for bottles and below there is an ice maker and stainless steel sink.

Four steps up from the aft deck, and you’re on the flybridge with canvas top. There is a reversible bench helm seat, plus bench seats on both sides and towards the rear of the bridge (cushions done in 2014). There is a large area to the rear that houses a large General Electric deep freezer.  There is a great deal of storage under all the bench seating as well as under the brow.  At the newly renovated helm station you will find a full set of controls, including a Garmin 4208 GPS, DataMarine Speed, Distance, and Depth Gauges, Robertson Auto Pilot, Compass, VHF, Glendinning Engine Synchronizer, 12v Oulet, and full set of VDO engine gauges.

Outside and aft of the flybridge area is the davit, satellite dish with follow me tracking and the dingy storage area.

The salon is down five teak steps from the aft deck, which are beautifully finished along with matching teak hand rails. Hi Stars are known for their fine joinery and finish.  Teak has been used throughout the vessel. The salon is beautifully finished and appointed. In addition to the custom made barrel chair there is an extremely comfortable L-shaped sofa and varnished teak hi-lo table.  The  “entertainment center” which can house plenty of a/v equipment is to the port side forward and has a Samsung flat screen television. It also has two very nice storage sections with louvered doors.

The lower helm station is located here on the starboard side, it houses engine gauges along with engine hour meters.  Here at the lower helm you will also find your ignitions for your engines and generator, also bilge controls, a/c units (3), Compass, Custom teak Ipad holder at helm, navigation lights, etc.  Immediately adjacent to the helm station is a 30” sliding door giving access to the starboard deck, this is a handy option when you are provisioning the vessel or moving something in or out. The salon, master stateroom, and forward stateroom is fully carpeted (new), the galley has custom installed faux teak and holly.

Aft of the salon and down four steps is the full width master stateroom. The queen size bed lifts up to provide a huge storage area that can be used for a pantry or whatever best suits your needs. There is no lack of storage on this vessel including in the master stateroom with many beautiful cabinets for clothes, or etc. There is a Bendix washer/dryer combo unit located behind louvered doors on the port side. There is a large sliding window aft and high, along with sliding windows on both sides of the cabin.

Forward of the salon and down four steps are the port side galley, the starboard side dinette, and the forward guest stateroom and head. This is also where the engine room access is located under the stairs going to the galley.   In the galley you will find a Kenmore refrigerator/freezer, new (2015) electric Princess flat top stove and oven, small convection oven/toaster to the left of the sink, there is a General Electric microwave oven located over the cooktop.  There is a new stainless steel sink and faucet which is also equipped with a garbage disposal.  There is a single port over the sink, and a HVAC outlet from the forward unit.

Across from the galley on the starboard side is the dinette that will comfortably seat 4-6. There is storage under all the seats and the inverter is mounted here as well. The electric panel, inverter, control panel are all in this area. There are two ports here in the galley, one to port and the other to starboard.

In the companionway between the galley and the dinette are two large hatches, two large covered containers are suspended and used for additional storage.

The guest stateroom and head are forward in the bow, equipped with a queen berth. There is great deal of storage with beautiful cabinetry. A large hatch as well as a couple of opening ports provide good light as well as ventilation. The separate head also opens into the companionway, a throwback to the dinette converting to a bunk. Although the shower is not separate a shower curtain arrangement can be added that keeps everything dry. There is a port in the head along with a vent fan; the stateroom is very accommodating considering the size of the vessel.

The foredeck is accessed from each side of the boat. All decking has molded-in non skid, the rails are all 1 ¼” stainless. Openings for boarding are provided on both sides. There was a new windlass added recently along with a custom stainless steel plate which accents the pulpit beautifully, you will also find footswitches on deck for the windlass. It is connected to a 55lb chrome anchor with chain.
