PANIA was designed by NAUTICAT as a performance orientated pilot house ketch and was strongly built by master craftsmen at Sitala Yachts in Finland in 1987.
Excellently equipped with a full array of electronics , most new 2015 with Wind Instrument and AIS new 2017,
and fitted with a Volvo TMD31 100hp diesel engine with new wiring loom and instruments in 2015 she cruises effortlessly at 6kn. PANIA was purchased by her present owners in 2014 and has subsequently had US$56,000 of upgrades and new equipment and electronics fitted with a view to take her to Australia which is not now viable for her owners
The two cabin layout offers complete privacy for two couples with a roomy forward queen sized V berth and a large well ventilated head with toilet and shower. A double berth cabin is aft with several generous storage areas and vanity basin - a toilet could easily be re-installed. Two Cruiseair air-conditioning units ensure comfort in any climate The well equipped galley and separate dining saloon is a chef’s delight with ample space for storage and table seating for six. This area converts to an additional double berth if required. On deck the raised cockpit provides excellent visibility and protection for the upper helm station and is a wonderful entertaining area.
PANIA was extensively refurbished in 2012/2013 with new davits, new Tender and outboard, new bimini and awnings, new engine and house batteries, new microwave and new cushions/covers and window coverings.
In 2015, in addition to installing all new electronics PANIA’s shaft was pulled and serviced, new props fitted, mast removed and checked together with all rigging, new air-conditioning control panels, new refrigeration unit and 40L portable fridge/freezer, gas bbq, fire extinguishers - the list goes on…
