Night Music is a very attractive, well built, recently updated and now ready to go Aft Cabin Cruiser being stored inside heated storage facility this winter. Great boat for doing THE LOOP or the ICW.
Very Comfortable size cabins. Lots of places to relax depending on the weather or your state of mind; on the fly bridge with 360 degree visibility, in the forward cabin for privacy, on the back deck for cocktails, in the aft cabin for a little nap, and of course in the main cabin for entertaining guests. Abundant storage areas and power to get you to your destination. AIR DRAFT of 19 ft. allows you to get below most bridges.
This Solid and reliable Mount Desert Island Boat Builders (MDI) hull was originally finished by Wilbur Yachts in 1991 and has always been maintained as a proper yacht. Please ask about the upgrades done since the current owner bought the boat.
The current owner saw potential upgrades and improvements that could be done to the boat and when he bought the boat in 2014 he began the work and invested heavily in the boat. A couple of big ticket improvements are adding a side door to the main cabin on the port side and totally rebuilding both Caterpillar engines. For additional details on the improvements, check out the full listing or call. This is probably the best looking down east style boat on the market today. Aft Cabin cruisers are hard to find and this one is ready to go and does not need further work or investment.

Night Music is a unique classic aft cabin fly bridge trawler that has a lot of really comfortable accommodations. The Mt. Desert Island Hull provides a very stable ride (she is a yacht after all) but it also provides a wide platform for a very sensible cabin layout. The Aft Cabin set up allows for the separation between the guest quarters and the master suite which is often lost in many of the newer boats.
The main salon has the helm Station on the starboard side next to a doorway allowing the helmsman to gain easy access to the outside fore and aft. There is great visibility with 3 large windows facing forward and large side windows. The current owner has just installed a new doorway on the port side of the cabin to allow easy access in and out on the port side. The galley along the port side and is discreetly covered by a countertop that has 3 panels which lift up with gas shocks to access the electric stove top, galley sink and storage areas. Additional storage areas underneath slide out in pantry style drawers and cabinets. Also on the port side is a microwave and a refrigerator w/freezer.
On starboard is a large and comfortable "L" shaped couch with a dining table that has fold down leaves and slides in and out and also can be dropped to the couch level to become and additional double bed. Beautiful teak and holly floors with multiple hatches (for easy access to the engines and engine room) and the main walk ways have attractive oriental rugs covering the floors.
The forward cabin on port has a comfortable office area or nav station with a desk and shelves on the port side. A hanging locker and shelf space. Opposite the nav station is the forward head on Starboard with separate shower stall.
The large vee berth has an insert to make it a large double and there is lots of storage space, shelves and cabinets for gear and clothes.
The aft cabin has a walk around queen size bed over storage drawers and locker. The room is bright and cheerful with lots of windows on both starboard and port. A cedar lined closet holds a lot of clothes for the voyage. The aft cabin head is a full size with separate shower stall.
The Fly Bridge is a solid platform for running the boat and entertaining friends and family. All the navigating equipment you need and lots of seating. There is a main helm seat and a companion seat. There is a large "L" shaped couch on the port side and starboard has a raised seat with the small refrig and ice maker underneath. Isinglass panels that can be rolled up for full ventilation or rolled down in bad weather while always having complete 360 degree visibility. On the starboard side is a small refrigerator and ice maker for easy access to cool drinks and snacks.
Down the steps from the fly bridge to the "deck" you can transition to a more relaxed area that can be used in many ways. Previous owners have had a dinghy mounted there while the current owner prefers to use it as a relaxing open deck with folding chairs and a table. There is easy access to either starboard or port, storage lockers and a large box storage compartment which used to hold a washer/dryer (still plumbed) if you should choose to install a new one.
The aft cockpit has a teak deck and is wide enough for seating and working with the dock lines. The current owner has installed davits and an electric dinghy lift off the transom. (The dinghy and motor are NOT included with the purchase price).
There is easy access and handholds along both starboard and port sides to the bow. The anchor platform currently has two anchors, a Danforth and a plow. There is a Maxwell windlass with controls at the bow and both steering stations.
Access to the engine room is provided by multiple hatches in the main cabin floor. Twin Caterpillar engines and transmission have just been rebuilt and have virtually no hours on them. The generator has not been used too often but is in good working condition. The wiring system has been extensively upgraded and is currently in compliance with code. (See recent upgrades for more information)
The Propeller shafts have Prop Spurs to cut any crab pots that happen to get caught on the shaft.
Personal Items not included in the sale include the rugs, lounge chairs (on aft deck and in main salon), personal tools, binoculars and personal navigation tools (charts, parallels, dividers etc.).
Dinghy and outboard are not included with the sale.
