As will be evident from the above this vessel is very fully equipped for local and long distance cruising. She is being sold complete with all necessary equipment as the owners, a brother and sister, reluctantly admit to their advancing age.
This boat was exhibited at the 1992 Earls Court Boat Show. She has been in her present ownership since she was 6 months old and has sailed mostly on the East Coast of the UK from Burnham-on-Crouch. She has always been carefully maintained and for the past 7 years has been cruising in the Mediterranean having passed via Biscay then through the Canal du Midi. Her double skinned hull construction provides exceptional strength, sound and temperature insulation and safety. She is currently wintering in Kas in Southern Turkey, a fine new Marina only 3 years old with excellent facilities afloat and ashore including a large swimming pool, restaurants and a supermarket. Mooring rates are very competitive being around £1200 per annum for Surgical Spirit.
She has a massive lead wing keel, 5ft 2in wide and we have dried out on it comfortably and the shallow draught is often an advantage with no obvious downside.
She is quick, beautifully balanced and very capable to windward in heavy weather.
