This sloop was imported new as a Freedom Yachts demonstration boat and then sold to the present owner. It is a fin keel version with cherry and ash interior joinery. The Yacht was fitted with a new Yanmar 27hp diesel in 2005. Described as a fast cruiser or ‘A Yacht That Flies’ with an unstayed, keel stepped, carbon fibre mast that forms the basis of the Freedom rig. Together with a self tacking jib and fully battened mainsail combine to offer a yacht that is easy to sail, exceptionally maneuverable and giving extraordinary performance. There is a large comfortable cockpit with wheel steering and all the control lines leading aft to it via 12 rope-clutches together with two coachroof mounted two-speed Harken self tailing winches, so there is no need to leave the cockpit once you are under way. A full compliment of navigation and safety equipment is included in the sale, as is a cruising chute and storm jib.
Rarely on the market outside of the USA this Freedom 35 Sloop presents an opportunity to purchase an outstanding fast cruiser from a world renowned designer and builder.
