Naiad Stabilized, 15-20kts, Galley Down, 3 Stateroom (King Master) Serious Long Range Cruiser. Highlights: T/660 CATs (1,475hrs), 21.5kW Onan, Bow Thruster, Updated Electronics, Dinghy Davits w/11' Dinghy & 15hp OB, 1,000 Gallons Fuel, 500 Gallons Water, 4-Zone Airconditioning, Washer & Dryer, Flybridge Enclosure, Varnished, Spacious, Comfortable Interior w/Custom Cabinetry, Teak & Holly Sole, Substantial Storage Throughout.
FAIRPORT C is truly one of a kind - the only Grand Banks Motoryacht of its size and power in existence. This is a boat that is as much at home cruising the Maine Coast, New England harbors, the Intracoastal Waterway and the islands as it is making long offshore passages. Cruising easily and economically at 10 knots or less, FAIRPORT C can move up to 20 knots to get ahead of the weather - or just for the mere fun of it.
The current owners have enjoyed their Grand Banks on the US East Coast, from Boston to Florida, in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, St. Maarten and St. Barts. To make all conditions as comfortable as possible, NAIAD Stabilizers were installed in 2012.
The interior is extremely spacious, with a large salon, full beam master stateroom (with full King-size bed), 2 additional staterooms, each with twin berths, galley-down, two private heads with showers and a laundry room. Both Flybridge and full-beam covered aft deck offer extensive areas for outdoor relaxation aboard.
Fairport C has been upgraded, meticulously overseen and maintained, mechanically and cosmetically, inside and out. Her owners are now relocating, moving ashore and, reluctantly, are offering Fairport C for sale.

GALLEY DOWN, SPACIOUS SALON, 3 STATEROOMS, 2 HEADS, 2 SHOWERS, LAUNDRY ROOM
The MASTER STATEROOM is aft, and spans the full beam of the boat for an extremely spacious feel. (Master Stateroom measures 14' x 10'6"). The combination of teak paneling with white laminate and teak and holly sole creates a bright, yet warm and inviting master stateroom. Five opening ports offer light as well as ventilation.
The King-size berth is custom-raised (providing drawers for clothing, charts, cruising guides and much else underneath) with a custom pocket-sprung mattress. A teak book shelf is above the width of the berth. Chrome Frigast bedside reading lamps are either side of the bed above the large desk/dressing table to port and a long bureau to starboard.
Two cedar hanging lockers, together with one large locker (with shelves and interior lighting) provide ample space for clothing. Numerous drawers offer considerable extra storage, in addition to a locker with shelves (currently housing audio-visual equipment = vintage-2000 TV and sound-system). A full-length mirror is on the back of the master stateroom door.
Forward and to starboard is the en-suite HEAD with separate over-sized enclosed shower with teak seat, holder for toiletries and a large overhead hatch. A round stainless steel sink, with large mirror above, is surrounded by ample counter space with teak open-storage behind. Two small drawers, a storage locker below, and an inset wall linen locker with shelves offer considerable storage. Grohe fixtures, Vacu-flush head, teak ceiling-mounted fan, and towel racks complete the head features.
The LAUNDRY ROOM is forward and to port of the master stateroom and comes equipped with stacked Whirlpool washer and separate dryer. Underneath the Corian counter top is a locker for linen and clothes-washing products. Two inset wall-lockers, drop-down counter-top ventilated locker and an opening port for light and ventilation complete this most usable space.
Five steps lead up to the oversize, comfortable MAIN SALON which can be considered "splendid" in size and comfort. (The main salon measures 15' x 10'8"). The comprehensive lower helm station is to starboard, followed by a teak door opening to the side deck. Nearby, behind doors, are instrument panels for AC and DC electrical systems.
Behind the helm is the Grand Banks bar cabinet, with storage for bottles, glasses and a built-in chopping board. Two cabinets with shelves are below, one plumbed for an ice-maker and the other, storage for emergency equipment, with easy access to the first-aid kit.
To port, and above the open galley located below, is a large breakfast bar which is also easily used for food preparation or a buffet. Underneath are two signature Grand Banks low swivel upholstered bar stools.
Next aft, two comfortable upholstered barrel chairs (each with storage under the seat) sit with a low custom-built entertainment center in between. The TV is above and two enclosed cabinets with shelves for sound and vision systems are underneath.
Across, and to starboard, is the large upholstered U-shaped settee. This seating area provides convivial seating for four to six. Adding the swivel chairs allows comfortable dining for six to eight. The settee surrounds the satin-varnished Grand Banks teak and holly inlaid Hi-Lo table with folding end leaves.
This settee features gas-assist lifts, allowing easy access to substantial storage underneath the cushions. All salon seating is tastefully upholstered in handsome navy and white striped fabric. A brass Sorensen ship's lamp is mounted on the aft salon bulkhead, adding to the side lamps, overhead lighting and valance 'mood lighting' for the salon. Cream linen custom Roman blinds, which, when lowered, offer privacy at night and are black-out lined insulating the salon from strong daytime sun.
Aft, and across to port, four steps (two with storage underneath) lead up to a paneled teak door opening onto the large (full-beam) aft deck. This deck can be covered with its own Bimini top and offers excellent space for seating and relaxation.
Moving to the forward area of the main salon, four steps lead down to the GALLEY. Bright and exceptionally open to the area above, the U-shaped galley is laid out for ease of use and practicality. There is a double stainless steel sink with Grohe faucet, microwave with shelves and storage areas above, large under-counter pot and cookware storage to the right of the sink. The Princess three-burner propane stove with oven is next under the sliding galley window. Four drawers for utensils and small items are on either side of the stove. A drop-down Grunert holding-plate freezer is to the right of the stove, with plate, bowl and condiment storage above. Two large stacked Grunert holding-plate refrigerators are to the right, each with Grand Banks teak doors. Additional cupboards are above and to the side of the refrigerators. Opposite the galley are two large cupboards with shelves for glass and tableware.
The refrigeration and freezer easily provide two-week provisioning for six people, with the galley offering ample counter and storage space to prepare the simplest of fare or the most elaborate feast.
The STARBOARD GUEST CABIN is opposite the galley, and features comfortable space for two: L-configured upper and lower full length single berths, bedside night stand with drawers underneath the lower berth. A full-length mirror is on the door, a sliding window is above and a chrome reading lamp is provides good light for each berth.
The GUEST HEAD AND ENCLOSED SHOWER is forward, across from the galley and to starboard, and features a separate enclosed shower with teak seat and shelf for toiletries. The head comes equipped with stainless steel sink with Grohe faucet, Corian counter with storage above and below, teak towel rack, a broad wall mirror, electric Vacu-Flush head and teak ceiling-mounted ventilation, sliding window and overhead hatch with screen.
The FORWARD GUEST STATEROOM offers the classic V-berth (with a filler piece that can be added to create a full double berth), a hanging locker and six drawers beneath the berth. Bookshelves and reading lamps are on either side of the berth. A 3/4 length cedar-lined hanging locker offers plenty of bedding, pillow and duvet storage. Two sliding windows and an overhead hatch provide excellent ventilation. A full-length mirror and an emergency teak escape ladder are mounted on the stateroom bulkhead.
Grand Banks varnished teak custom cabinetry and white laminate are featured in all areas along with a varnished teak and holly cabin sole. There is exceptional light, ventilation and space throughout the boat, with the main salon offering superb comfort and visibility for all. Access to the exterior is through either the starboard or aft doors of the MAIN SALON.
