IOLANTHE is a special Hunt yacht with a "Hard Back" enclosed bridge-deck and enhanced galley. She is an able day boat or cruiser, and her reverse-cycle heating and air-conditioning ensure comfortable cruising north or south.
This 33 HUNT has been maintained and stored inside by a very reputable boat builder / boat yard in MAINE.
Partially cored fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) hull and superstructure. Single-unit deck molded using layers of woven roving and mat fitted with 4 hatches and 4 opening ports and has non-skid surface in weather deck traffic areas, teak toe rail. Edson leather-wrapped wheel steering operates the Sea Star hydraulic system to control the rudder. Hull is Flag Blue AWL-GRIP.
Starting forward, sailboat-style V-berth with filler between, shelves outboard, and storage beneath. Cedar-lined hanging lockers aft to port and starboard. Aft to starboard nice small settee with large locker outboard and storage beneath, then large enclosed en suite head and shower aft to starboard. Head features a manually operated Raritan marine toilet (with holding tank, Y-valve, macerator pump, dockside pump-out line, direct discharge, and Raritan tank monitor). Seaward 6-gal. water heater (electric and plumbed to engine to exchange heat). Custom well-thought-out galley to port of companionway features storage above and beneath, Force 10 propane 3-burner stove with oven, Norcold under-counter refrigerator, stainless steel sink with fresh-water pump, large locker under galley counter for pots, pans, etc., with sliding shelves and bi-fold door. Cup racks on the aft bulkhead, fitted plate storage in lockers outboard. Two opening ports with screens in galley area. Up three steps to fully enclosed bridge deck.
Ventilation provided by two opening ports in the galley, a third opening port in the head with door on hook, a fourth opening port forward above the settee, a large Lewmar opening hatch on centerline with NicroFico stainless solar vent and a recently added large hatch over the V-berth. All cabin ports have screens and curtains. Both cabin hatches have screens.
Bridge deck has three opening windows with screens and two opening hatches with screens. Cabin sole is teak and holly with access hatches.
Approx. 370-hp Cummins BTAM3 6-cyl. fresh-water-cooled diesel engine (1017 engine hours as of October 2016). 27 Knots WOT at 2900 RPM and a cruise if desired at 23 Knots at 2600 RPM. Five-blade "21LH 20" bronze propeller on 1 1/2" stainless steel shaft.
12V DC lighting and starting system, with three new 2016 12V DC batteries, engine alternator, circuit-breaker panel, safety-disconnect switch, 120V AC shore-power hook-up, Heart Interface battery-charger/inverter, battery-condition indicator. Solar-Panel battery charger with regulator.
Ritchie "Powerdamp" magnetic navigation compass, Simrad "NSSevo2" radar/GPS chart plotter, Garmin plotter, Brooks & Gatehouse Network depth sounder, Simrad AP22 autopilot, ICOM IC-M127 marine VHF radiotelephone, assorted chart kits.
22-lb. Delta anchor with 1/4" galvanized chain lead and nylon rode, electric anchor windlass. Additional Fortress anchor for back-up.
