Nathanael Herreshoff designed COQUINA for his own use in the winter of 1889, as an improvement on RIVIERA, the boat he had built in Nice, France in 1874 for his trip along the Mediterranean coast, through the rivers and canals of Europe and later sailed out of his home in Bristol.
In 2005 Maynard Bray and Doug Hylan created new drawings from Herreshoff Archives to help amateur builders reproduce the 16ft sailing beauty COQUINA. This boat is a very well built example of this classic.
She was built by Mark Ritter of Marietta, GA - who built a number of boats before his COQUINA.
Covered storage for the winter, and comes with a Trailex SUT-450 all aluminum trailer in excellent condition, oars and oarlocks, whale manuel bilge pump plus a Sea Joule solar charger. Sail covers, including a cover that goes over the entire topside and drapes over to protect the shearstrake. 3 rope fenders, Antique bronze compass from a Monterey Sardine Boat.
Call us quickly this boat won't last long.
