Introduced in the U.S. at the Annapolis Boat Show in Autumn of '05, this HR37 was judged superior to all other entries in her class for the 2006 Cruising World Magazine Boat of the Year.
Her speed and seakeeping qualities were also proven when she placed second in the Caribbean 1500 Rally for cruisers of '05. The HR37 has won many other international awards as well.
There is tremendous value of the HR 37's ability to offer single handed sailing, sitting dry and stable in the cockpit while being able to make sail adjustments without going on deck under any kind of conditions. On your night watch or in heavy seas, this is a plus that cannot be over appreciated!

From Hallberg-Rassy’s own plastic plant, all HR hulls are built to Germanischer Lloyds specifications whereby the glass laminated is carefully laid up by hand utilizing high grade isophtalic polyester resins and a isophtalic gelcoat to resist osmosis. The hull below the waterline consists of a solid reinforced glass fibre layup transitioning above the waterline by utilizing Divinycell PVC foam which insulates the hull against heat and cold. The deck, coachroof and cockpit are of sandwich construction, solid in parts, and fully laminated which encapsulates the hull to deck joint forming a one piece hull. All interior parts such as tankage are then passed through the companionway for installation which means they can also be removed should it ever be necessary. Under the solid mahogany compression post, a metal beam is cast into the hull as a stiffener to provide reinforcement to provide for the mast to be stepped on deck thereby eliminating possible water intrusion. The oversized stainless steel rudder post is precision mounted on self aligning bearings for low friction in all situations.
Underwater hull has two applications of epoxy primer and two coats of anti-fouling paint. Hull color is the traditional Hallberg-Rassy white with blue coaming, sheer and boot stripes.
