A nicely trimmed interior greets you as you step inside Solo Tu's cabin. Plenty of large windows provide 360 degrees of nature watching. This vessel utilizes its interior space quite creatively, in a good way. She sleeps six, with a convertible dinette that seats six and sleeps two, there are two twin stacked single bunks in the portside hull, forward of the dinette. Forward center is a double berth and The head closet is in the starboard hull, just in front of the helm station and includes a comfortable Jabsco electric head and the plumbing for a shower. You'll find a double-wide cushioned seat at the pilot station, as well as a double wide co-pilot seat just opposite. Galley has a large Swan Stone sink with hot and cold pressure water, three burner Force 10 stove/oven combination with pot holders, a Norcold 4.2 AC/DC refrigerator and a chest freezer. The 40-gallon water tank will keep you supplied with your water needs for the entire voyage. Lovely faux wood vinyl flooring has been laid throughout the vessel. Heating is by way of an oil stove and a forced air hydronic furnace. There are storage drawers, hatches, cupboards and hanging drawers throughout the vessel.
Come aboard Solo Tu via her swim step and aft transom door. She's got quite a large cockpit deck with plenty of room for a pack of fishermen. Lots of storage cabinets and storage trays keep this active area as tidy as possible. An aluminum cleaning table with nylon cutting board is conveniently located on the swim step, so fish guts should fall directly into the water instead of into the boat. Two Scotty electric downriggers are installed on the gunnels for your fishing pleasure. The commercial grade electric pot puller made by Electra Dyne saves your back if you get lucky to pull up a crab pot teeming with crustacean. The secondary cockpit helm has its own set of navigation tools for added navigation flexibility. An Aquapro hard bottom dinghy sits atop the cabin roof. Raise or lower it with the heavy duty rule R20 electric winch. A 20 horsepower Yamaha four-stroke kicker is set aside for use with the dinghy.
Two 2007 350 Yamaha gas outboard engines with just 716 hours on each nicely propel Solo Tu through any kind of ocean chop. They were recently serviced in May of 2016. Her cruising speed is 23 knots at 4,900 rpm and she tops her speed out at 34 knots. Twin-hull power catamarans are superior to traditional mono-hull boats in that they are remarkably stable and fuel efficient. She carries 300 gallons of fuel, so extended trips are a breeze. She also comes with a 2008 9.9 horsepower Yamaha auxiliary engine. If you want to anchor, she s got a 30 pound Mason Supreme anchor hooked to an Easy Anchor electric winch and 520 feet of chain and line. A spare 20 pound Danforth anchor is available if you need it. Lenco hydraulic trim tabs ensures a pleasurable ride to your favorite fishing waters.
An impressive new Raymarine E120 integrated navigation system is located at the pilot station and includes GPS, plotter, depth sounder and radar. Two loud hailers are connected one of the Icom VHF radios, one placed at each helm. The aft steering station has a 15 HP flatscreen that is a repeater for the Raymarine E120. The navigation display can also be fed through the large flatscreen HP monitor forward. Charting software is also on the HP computer. Solo Tu has three independent electric wipers on the forward facing windows to keep visibility in top form. Three water watch alarms are in each hull and two 500 gph sump pumps will keep you afloat if you encounter any notorious Alaska swells. When at the dock, power is provided via the 30 amp shorepower hookup. While Two new start batteries, a Xantrex 2000 watt battery charger and inverter, Yamaha 55 amp alternator, and four golf cart batteries will keep you powered up while underway. AC panel with reverse polarity alarm is located in the galley and tested well with no reverse polarity and good grounds. For a little fun, play your favorite fishing tunes on the Jensen am/fm CD stereo with Jensen deck speakers.
This sturdy vessel's twin hulls have raked stem deep-vee bows, hard chine planing hulls, and square transoms aft. She is built of good and adequate scantlings consisting of marine grade aluminum that is protected with a resin coating of Nyalic preservative. Solo Tu's outstanding package also comes with a custom 2007 three-axle galvanized steel towing trailer with bunks.
