Felicity was built by me over five years, under the guidance of master boat-builder Julian Burn, and launched in 2011. She has lovely lines and fitted out to a high standard with stainless steel and brass fittings throughout. With the centreboard arrangement she makes an ideal boat for river, estuary and coastal sailing. Catboats are very manoeuvrable and fast on a broad reach, “Felicity” has a rocker of 10 degrees, which means that in a good breeze she can plane and outsail any similar sized Bermudian sloop.
She is designed for single-handed sailing with good stability, and hosts a good sized cockpit which will take 3 to 4 people with ample storage. Full papers, invoices, designers’ notes and drawings available to view. Hull coved in 3 coats of epoxy resin and ground to fine finish. Used on the River Dart, antifouled and serviced and ready to go. Reason for selling, advancing years.
