Ease of handling is a key benefit of sailing a Moorings 37.2. The yacht has a roller-furling genoa, self-stacking mainsail with lazy jacks, and an electric windlass. All sail control lines are led aft to the cockpit for safety and convenience. A bimini shades the large cockpit, and there’s a drop leaf table for dining or cocktails. The helm is equipped with a pivot, enabling the wheel to swing 90 degrees to create unobstructed access to the swim platform and shower. In addition to a color chartplotter, autopilot, depth-sounder, and speedometer, the yacht also has cockpit speakers for the VHF radio and the stereo.
Below decks the Moorings 37.2 boasts an L-shaped galley with plenty of counter space, vast storage, refrigerator, double sink, and a two-burner stove with an oven and grill. The saloon features seating on both sides with a large table for six (with drop leaf section), a CD player with MP3 input, and a flat screen TV/DVD. The settees can serve as single berths or the table drops to make a double bunk. Shore power air-conditioning is ideal in the tropics (not available in the Mediterranean). The head with stall shower is remarkably large for a boat of this size and has expansive counter space. The two double cabins are well appointed with hanging lockers, opening ports or hatches, fans, and generous storage.
The Moorings 37.2 is an elegant and well thought-out design by Groupe Finot and Nauta Design. Not just for short range cruising, the Moorings 37.2 is capable of supporting long range requests. She features 2 cabins and 1 head, a roomy salon and L-shaped galley; all with plenty of storage, lighting, and ventilation.
Electronics upgrades include TV/DVD and dock side air conditioning. Innovation ominates the design of this exceptional new boat, taking the concept of purposeful design to a completely new level.
