Delphia Escape 1050 ECO has proved Delphia Yachts’ “green” credentials and further reinforces the company’s ethos on the importance of continued research and development. Delphia is committed to its corporate social responsibility programmes both in the factory and on the water. As such, it is pioneering the change from fossil fuels to electrical power. Delphia Escape 1050 ECO is the first boat in the Delphia range to be solely powered by batteries. An array of eight powerful batteries allows two days’ cruising without the need to recharge and an onboard generator provides top-up to the batteries when shore power is not available. Apart from the undoubted advantage of being allowed to enter zones of silence within national parks, the main benefit of owning the Escape Eco is that it allows one to enjoy the beauty of silent cruising. The fact it is electrically powered does not detract from the high standards of luxury and build quality for which Delphia has become famous.
