For those nautical history buffs, this "Spray" is close replica of Joshua Slocom's "Spray" that he circumnavigated single handed around the world in the 19th century. This one designed by Bruce Robers is constructed from steel with full keel and lead ballast making it virtually "bullet proof". The seven year project is almost completed, needing only the bow sprit, mast, and rigging to finish. The bow sprit, pictured inside, is due to be mounted soon. The boat can be purchased w/o the mast and rigging at the price quoted, or completely rigged for an additional $15,000. Owner will supervise rigging completion.
When completed this will be a true world cruiser. As you can see Gypsy has been beautifully restored. All photos are current. Strong low hours Volvo diesel. New shaft and seals and bronze 3-blade prop in 2010. Hull sandblasted and painted w/seaguard epoxi 2016, bottom paint 2018. Many spares, and new sails including main, genoa and genaker.
