Accommodation

The Dufour 39CC offers eight berths in three cabins. Aft is the owner’s en-suite cabin with a slightly offset double berth and a settee/single berth to port, with vanity unit with cupboards. There is also a wardrobe with hanging locker. Two opening ports and an opening overhead hatch make the cabin feel noticeably light and airy. A door leads to the en-suite which has a separate washroom and heads. The washroom has storage cupboards a single sink and shower with pressurised hot and cold water from both the engine and a 240V immersion heater.

The linear galley is to port and leads from the aft owner’s cabin to the saloon. The galley has a large top loading 12v fridge, double stainless-steel sink, 2 burner Plastimo Neptune 2500 with oven and grill new 2014.

Forward of the galley is the saloon that has a large central folding table, with bottle storage, with settees on both port and starboard sides. There is lots of storage space in the saloon.

Between the en-suite heads and the saloon is the navigation station with a good-sized chart table with padded navigator’s seat and area for instrumentation.

Forward of the saloon is a double V shaped berth with hanging locker, vanity unit and storage cupboards. The upholstery in blue velour, with rich wood finish and Eberspacher warm air central heating gives the boat a real cosy feel.

Sails and Spars

Bermudan masthead rig double spreader anodised aluminium mast and boom by Z-Spars with mainsail in mast furling system and headsail Facnor furling system. Stainless steel standing rigging that was last replaced in 2017. Running rigging is Dynema and Terylene and has been replaced as required. The rig has a manually adjustable backstay.

Mechanical System

This Dufour 39CC has a 1998 Volvo MD22L, four cylinder, 50hp diesel engine located under companionway steps. It has a sail drive to a two bladed fixed propeller. Saildrive gator was last replaced in 2016. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever Morse controls on steering pedestal. 180 litres plastic fuel tank. Engine last serviced in 2019 by the owner last out of water maintenance 2019.

Electrical System

3 x 120 AH 12-volt batteries (1x engine + 2 x domestic) all new 2016 charging from alternator and split battery charger via 240V shore power system with ring main, immersion heater.

History and Construction

Built by Dufour in 1998 to 1999 specification to a designed by Mortain & Mavrikios. White GRP hull and decks with moulded-in non-slip surfaces. Lead wing fin keel. Wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Anodised aluminium toe rails. Stainless steel stanchions, pulpit and pushpit quarters. Walk through transom gate to bathing platform. Teak to cockpit seats and transom platform.
