Walking into the helm station from the rear deck, you will notice the awesome panoramic views from either the port side settee or the captain's chair. The port side has an L shaped settee that is large enough to seat 3-4 adults and also converts to a large single adult bed. This is a great spot to either get out of the weather if need be, or to keep an eye on the rods if you're trolling. Starboard side helm is all about the skipper. The well laid out dash of Clover allows you to check on all her systems while still offering the views with the back glass sliding door either open or shut. Down below she has a kitchen and full size bathroom with shower on the port side and a large settee starboard. This settee also makes into a bed large enough for a couple and along with the v-berth, this area comfortably sleeps 4. The kitchen is equipped with a Norcold fridge with ice maker, microwave, and Princess stove. This whole area is a very solid use of space with ample storage everywhere you look.
The wide beam of Clover is apparent when you step through the back transom door and onto her back deck. This area is home to a large port side locker with hand washing sink and tackle storage to keep all your fishing gear stored away. Clover's back deck also has a wash down hose, an interior rod locker, propane tank storage, and a large hatch to access the fuel tanks, the rear of the engines and ample storage space. The roof has a stainless radar arch that is raised high enough to slide an inflatable under and keep it out of the way when traveling.
One of the true treasures of Clover is her highly economical and reliable Volvo Penta series 44 diesel engines. She can cruise around 24 MPH and only burn around 6 gallons per hour per side. With only 2142 and 2145 hours on her she has many years of service for her new owners. Part of the beauty of this power package is that she is shaft and wheel, which has a tendency to be less maintenance than other packages. These Volvo's are easily accessed through the back hatch or the interior hatch that is located in the helm area. If the fuel tanks or engines ever needed to be removed, the whole back deck is designed to be unscrewed and lifted out of the way.
Clover is well equipped with Lowrance GPS and plotter, a Raymarine radar, Furuno and Raytheon depth sounders and an Icom VHF. She also has 26 pound stainless anchor with 50 feet of chain and 200 feet of nylon rope that can be pulled from the depths with her anchor windless. Battery power comes from 2 group 31 start batteries and a bank of 4 6V golf cart batteries to run the house systems. Both engines are equipped with troll valves so that you have the capability to troll whatever engine may have fewer hours to keep them evenly balanced.
