This Shearwater is in pristine condition and maintained to exceptional high standards by the current owner with meticulous attention to detail. She was completely overhauled in 2010 when she was in Buenos Aires. Built in Cape Town and launched in 2005, she has a proven track record for ocean crossing and is an extremely comfortable boat at sea with an extensive list of equipment onboard.
A very easy boat to sail with a fully battened Mainsail stowed in a Stack Pack on the boom when lowered. Both Genoa and Staysail on Roller Furlers and very easy to furl/unfurl and trim with the use of Electric Primary winches. Sail wardrobe is completed with an Asymetrical Spinnaker.
She is easily steered by Raymarine Autopilot with Gyro Compass making those long passages a dream.

The Yacht is very well appointed below decks with clean and uncluttered spaces. Bottom right photo shows saloon looking forward to forward cabin which sleeps two. There an aft cabin on the starboard side which also sleeps two. The Shearwater 39 has one bathroom with one electric toilet which macerates into a holding tank and has an on deck suction facility.
Onboard entertainment provided through a TV and audio system with speakers in saloon and cockpit.
Yacht is fully safety certified complying with SAMSA for 6 crew inclusive of a 6 man liferaft.
