Since its inception in 2007, the Beneteau 40 has been a top pick for cruising couples due to its modern layout, dual helms in the cockpit and a bright and airy living space. 5KNOTS is a 2011 Beneteau 40 that the current owners purchased in September 2016. She has had 1 previous owner. This Beneteau 40 has 3 cabins, 2 heads, galley, a roomy salon and a fairly large cockpit. The dual helm stations free up the center of the cockpit and provides easy access to/from the water.
The current owners purchased her in Ft. Lauderdale and she was originally named Bountiful, she was in the Moorings charter fleet in St.Martin for her first five years. She had been well taken care of during that time and met the current owner's criteria in size, interior layout and the all important Sugar Scoop Transom. They decided to change her name to 5KNOTS, not because of speed but rather because they have 5 children. The knots that hold them all together. They became full-time cruisers in February 2017 and have sailed the coastal US, the Bahamas and the Caribbeans, finally arriving in Grenada.
