1974 Gulfstar 53 Motorsailer

Veteran Charter for the Boy Scouts out of the Sea Base in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.

She is currently setup for cruising charters with crew bunks in the salon in addition to the the settees and dinette. She has been maintained by a seasoned captain and is in good working order. She is a comfortable cruiser with plenty of seating above and below decks. She has a fantastic hard bimini and dodger to keep the cockpit in the shade and protected from any bad weather. Nice wide decks with plenty of handholds and heavy rigging, provide security  while underway. All lines are led aft to robust Anderson 2 speed winches (one electric) for ease of handling.  Sails are in good shape with plenty of crinkle left in them.

Below you will find all the comforts of home with full galley (propane stove and oven, microwave,  refrigerator, clothes washer, 2 full heads with showers, large dinette, ample air conditioning, and plenty of areas to relax. There are 3 cabins in addition to the salon: Master, Guest, and VBerth. The master is well appointed with full head (complete with gorgeous custom stained glass shower door), desk/study area, queen berth, and large hatch for ventilation.

The guest cabin is private and cozy, while the VBerth has been relegated to storage (for copious spares and seldom used, but necessary, equipment).

Engine room is large and open allowing  excellent access to the engine and genset as well as additional storage space.

Due to the owner returning to Uk  for health problems a lot of gear is left on the boat, parts, spares and tools. The boat is perfect for 6 people but can accommodate up to 12  onboard 2 in fwd. Cabin, 2 in guest port cabin, 6 in main saloon and 2 more in Master cabin. The boat was painted with new awlgrip paint 2021 there is enough extra paint for touch ups and whole boat green stripes boot topping and brown trim. The boat was well equipped and looked after it is a great safe and comfortable liveaboard boat and the owner has set the boat up to be for easy single handed operation.. Final note. Boat was used for BSA for last 10 yrs for 4 months a yr she can still be offered in the BSA with a captain should you wish to help cover the cost of the boat..
