Oysterman 22, a traditional and robust cruising yacht. Her heavy displacement with encapsulated ballast in a long keel make her a comfortable and safe passage maker. This yacht has benefited from many recent improvements including new sails, new stainless standing rig,new topsides, and a recent engine with very few hours run, hardly run-in. A closer inspection is highly recommended.
GRP built in 1989 by Oystersailers Ltd, Penryn, on the lines of the Falmouth Oyster Boats. Designed by Paul Gartside. Long keel with encapsulated lead ballast. Transom/keel hung rudder on three fastenings with tiller steering. Topsides painted in 2018 and hull epoxy coated in 2014. Part 1 British Registered.
Spruce spars and deck stepped mast in a galvanised tabernacle. Stainless steel standing rigging renewed in 2018. Plastimo roller reefing. 4 Barton sheet winches. Timber boom gallows.
Beta Marine 20hp diesel with 100 hours run. Single lever control. Stainless steel shaft with Volvo stern gland to a 3 blade prop. Shaft rope cutter. Stainless steel 35lt fuel tank. 12v batteries in two banks with engine and 240v charging.
Double berth in fore cabin, two smaller berths in the saloon. Galley with sink and Taylors paraffin stove on gimbals, 2 hot plates and warmbox style oven grill, Gas connection in situ for gas oven if preferred. 240v shore power with mains battery charging. New 50lt water tank in the bow. Jabsco toilet in WC compartment.
