A truly unique example of a classic Viking motor yacht "done right". This vessel borrows from the classic 55/63 MY layout but adds an extended AFT Deck and Flying Bridge (with Hard Top), Day Head, and a HUGE mechanical/lazarette space with hydraulic swim platform. The lazarette houses twin generators, water maker, air compressor, chest freezer, and two (2) 290 Gallon auxiliary fuel tanks for extended cruising. The extension was completed in the 1990s by a reputable Florida company with significant experience stretching motor yachts.
A major update in 2015 added all new Garmin electronics, beautiful Amtico "teak and holley" flooring throughout, new appliances, and classy "off white" paint (Imron). Two new 21kw Phasor generators and five (5) new air conditioning systems were also installed at this time. There is quite simply no other Viking motor yacht like this one. She is totally equipped and setup for self-sufficient island cruising and provides excellent charter possibilities. Serious buyers will not be disappointed.

Glendinning EEC3 - Advanced Electronic Engine Throttle/Gear Controls
The propeller shafts and rudders were modified when the extension was added. The prop shafts were lengthened, and struts were moved AFT. Rudders were enlarged and moved AFT as well.
The Pilothouse (lower helm) is located forward on the Main (Bridge) Deck with sliding doors on both sides which lead to the side decks and foredeck. Boarding is via the side decks and there is a seating area on the foredeck. Large windows provide excellent visibility. A stairway leads down from the Pilothouse to the three forward (Guest/Crew) Staterooms.
The lower helm is equipped with a Llebroc Industries "Double Wide" power adjustable helm seat for all-day cruising comfort. Completely updated electronics include:
Moving AFT, the Galley features newer appliances including a full-size refrigerator, four burner stove, dishwasher, ice maker, and convection oven.
The spacious full-beam (wide body) Main Saloon is AFT of the Galley. The dining area to PORT provides built-in seating (with storage under) and a large dining table that can comfortably accommodate up to eight place settings. A wet bar is located to STBD. Stairs lead up from the Saloon to the Fly Bridge, and down to the Master Stateroom and Engine Room.

The AFT Deck is significantly larger than the typical 55/63 Viking. There is a built-in refrigerator, sink, and electric to PORT. Existing Propane Control System can be used to add a propane grill if desired.
The totally enclosed Day Head on the AFT Deck (to STBD) features a sink and electric macerating toilet:

The Lazarette and hydraulic swim platform are accessed from the AFT Deck via stairway.
Access to the Flying Bridge is via stairway up from the Main Saloon. Here, the full-size door is a thoughtful improvement over the standard 55/63 Vikings which only provide a sliding hatch (which is prone to sticking and leaking).
The upper helm features new Garmin electronics and dual VHF radios. There is a built-in refrigerator to PORT and the side-by-side double Llebroc Industries Captain's chairs are mounted on a 360 degree rotating base:
Six adults can comfortably enjoy the built-in seating/dining area, and the extended flybridge deck (with built-in davit) can easily accommodate a 16' tender plus kayaks, paddleboards, and other toys.
Three Guest/Crew staterooms are located forward of the engine room and accessed via stairway from the Pilothouse.
Guest / Crew Staterooms share a single head with separate shower. Both of the Guest / Crew heads feature Vacuflush toilets.
The full beam Master Stateroom is located AFT of the Engine Room and is accessed via stairs leading down from the Main Saloon.
The full-height and full-beam Engine Room is accessed via the stairway which leads down from the Main Saloon. Engines and all vital systems are easily reached for inspection, maintenance, and repair. There is also a large area for workbench & tools because the two (2) generators are located in the AFT Lazarette - unlike the typical Viking 55/63 where the single generator is typically located between the main engines.
Five (5) new air conditioning systems (with reverse cycle heat) were installed in 2015. All HVAC units are split-systems with the compressors and sea water pumps located in the Engine Room. Two units are for the PilotHouse and Main Saloon. The other three units are for the Staterooms. All five units are installed with MicroAir digital thermostat controls. Refrigerant is R-410A. Sea water pumps are top of the line March TE-5.5C-MDs.
The AFT Lazarette (accessed via stairway leading down from the AFT Deck) is home to twin generators, water maker, air compressor, hydraulic pump (for the swim platform), and AC power distribution. Here it is possible to access the hydraulic steering gear and rudders without having to intrude into the Master Stateroom (as with typical 55/63 Vikings). There is a great deal of storage space for spare parts, maintenance supplies, fishing gear, water toys, and fuel for the tender.
Each generator is capable of powering the entire vessel independently. This allows for fault-tolerant and uninterrupted AC power generation. One generator can be used to power the vessel while the other generator is down for maintenance/repair.
Two auxiliary 290 gallon fuel tanks (located under the generators) provide 580 gallons of ADDITIONAL fuel capacity for extended cruising.
The craftsmanship of the AFT Deck & Lazarette extension is exemplary in every way - cosmetically, structurally, and functionally. It is virtually impossible to locate exactly where the extension joins with the original hull.
