Stepping down below through the sliding companionway hatch you enter the spacious main salon and galley area. The salon features sumptuous wood with a piano finish, plush ultra-leather salon seating, and durable salon carpeting for a relaxing and homey environment. The clean lines of hidden hardware for the overhead cabinetry, the line of sight out of the opening side ports, and the bright interior lighting emphasize the desire that Viking had to keep the interior sleek and sumptuous while still allowing for form and function. The salon table can drop down to create a double bed and the forward mounted television has surround sound speakers mounted throughout the salon.
The V50 has a specious owner’s cabin forward with a large centerline queen with easy walk-around access from either side and has custom fit bedding to continue the clean-cut lines of the rest of the interior. The cabin features soft carpeting, an ultra-leather upholstered and cushioned headboard, an overhead opening hatch and two opening side ports, a personal TV and stereo head control, surround sound speakers mounted in the ceiling, and lots of storage with a large hanging locker, overhead cabinets, a makeup table. The owner’s suite has its own private head to port that features a spacious vanity and a separate shower stall.
OWNER’S CABIN HEAD:
The aft guest cabin is accessed aft of the galley to starboard. Two steps lead you down to the double twin bed configured suite. The two twin beds also have custom bedding, and the suite also has a TV, ceiling-mounted sound system and stereo controls. The en-suite head lies to port and has a separate shower stall.
The galley design also emphasizes Viking’s desire to keep the interior spaces sleek and clean cut. At first glance, the galley simply looks like some beautiful piano finish cabinetry, but opening the counter covers reveals a galley sink, a two-burner electric stove, a side-opening refrigeration unit, and ample storage above and below the counter. Two opening side ports allow for great ventilation while cooking. There is additional storage with a bar cabinet forward that provides class storage as well as space for the entertainment electronics.
Step aboard the Viking Princess V50 from her wide and spacious stern swim platform or via the custom hydraulic passerelle that can be deployed from the stern, and you enter into a spacious cockpit designed for comfort under way and for easy entertaining. The spacious cockpit offers a large helm seat that comfortably seats two with an adjustable captain’s chair for leg support while standing. A curved settee to port offers comfortable co-captain seating with an L-shaped cockpit galley behind it. The cockpit galley features a griddle, a sink, and a mini fridge with a freezer section. A large U-shaped settee wraps around a large cockpit table aft of the helm seat. The cockpit table offers a great place for entertaining and enjoying a nice meal underway or on the hook. The cockpit arch offers LED blue and white lights for evening entertainment along with cockpit speakers. Walking aft towards the swim platform, a large sun bed stretches across the stern beyond the canvas bimini with comfortable built-in pillows. This sun pad lies directly over the dinghy bay which electrically opens for easy access to the large storage area.
The Viking V50 express cockpit is wrapped with a tinted large windshield for keeping the cockpit comfortable while cruising on plane. The cockpit arch supports the radar, digital TV antenna, GPS and VHF antennas with a cockpit-controlled spotlight. Solid stainless steel rails lead forward along the side decks for safe and easy passage up to the large double sun pad on the bow for extra lounging. The non-skid decks also make it easy to head all the way forward to the anchor locker, windlass and anchor wash down. The cockpit also has a full enclosure that stretches all the way back over the aft sun pad.
