This is a unique opportunity to get an essentially new Moody 45 DS without having to wait until 2023. CECILIA was delivered in June 2021, and was dry sailed from Newport RI during the summer months, so has only been in the water a few weeks. Loaded with nice options, she features electric in mast furling, electric jib furling, beautiful Elvstrom ‘Fat Furl’ main and jib, and a gennaker. Bow thruster, stern thruster, Volvo 110hp diesel engine, Fischer Panda 8000i generator. Air-conditioning throughout (3 zones). Cockpit fridge, extra fridge in the saloon, stainless anchor and 100m of stainless chain. Cherry wood cabinetry with grained white Corian countertops. Built in Microwave and a TV on a lifter.
The Moody 45 DS was the first Hanse built Bill Dixon design for the Moody brand, and is still as popular now as was when the model was first launched ten years ago. Currently, there are very few available for sale anywhere, and with over a 100 hulls built so far, it is testament to the fact that their owners love the boats. They sail well, and this boat has especially good sails, with an extra roach on both the main and the jib. CECILIA’s owners love the yacht, but now want a bigger one!
